We start our tour with Kathmandu Valley sightseeing that takes you to several historical sites which are considered World heritage site. Tragically, you will also witness the devastation effect of the Earthquake of April 2015.
Langtang trek starts after an interesting 6 hours drive from Kathmandu. This is a picturesque trek, rich in cultural heritage and delightful animal and plant life. The spring brings out flowers like Primula, blue iris, edelweiss and rhododendrons and we may also see a Tahr (a large mountain goat), Bear, Deer and possibly Red Panda and a wide variety of bird life. It is perhaps the best introduction to the Nepal Himalayas. Follow the Trishuli river north and then up into the wide alpine valley of Langtang from where the great peaks become visible - Ganesh (7,407 m), Langtang Lirung (7,246 m), DorjeLakpa (6,975 m) and many others. Your final destination at Kyanjin Gompa (3,950 m) is near the end of the valley offering spectacular day excursions to vantage points with superb views of Lantang Lirung. It is also possible to explore the glaciers and the yak pastures of Langsisa.
The return journey is easier as we retrace back the same route mostly down hill to end this delightful trekking holiday with a drive back to Kathmandu.
